After diagnosis you need some good back pain remedies
Subscribe To Our FeedIf you ever had back pain, you know how painful it is! Sometimes it can be just little twinges of pain, but it can also be extremely painful. A good thing to remember is that the amount of the pain you are experiencing does correspond at all to the amount of the damage to the back.
Different kind of Back Pain Remedies
There can be many different goals of back pain remedies:
- being able to get back to do everyday activities
- reducing pain as soon as possible
- coping with any residual pain
You also need to be aware of any possible side effects of the treatment and decide if the treatment is worth the trouble. For example in the case of surgical methods of treatment, though sometimes surgery is warranted, in less than 10% of cases, it can be appropriate if you have scoliosis, a compression fracture, degenerative disc disease or lumbar disc herniation, or spinal stenosis.
Hot and cold back pain remedies.
Sometimes heat therapy is very useful, especially for acute back pain. For some people, moist heat works best, like in a spa or hot bath. For others, the low heat that stays warm for a while (for example, a heat wrap that can be warn for 4-6 hours) is best. For still others, cold therapy is very effective.
Back pain remedies through medicines
Medicines can be helpful in dealing with back pain. If you’ve gone to your primary care physician for a diagnostic evaluation, he or she might have prescribed something for your back pain. Generally, the ones prescribed are muscle relaxants, narcotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or acetaminophen. In the studies performed, there was no benefit found to have injection therapy with corticosteriods. Sometimes herbal analgesics are effective, and are worth consideration.
Exercise as back pain remedies
Exercise is a very effective approach to helping with back pain, whether or not you’ve had a diagnostic evaluation of your back pain. It can be most effective under the direction of a physical therapist, but even without a pro at your side, the stretching and exercise is often key to recovery, especially for chronic back pain.
